Found the Surge of the Rona
Covid-19, ‘The Rona Era’
Yup, it’s still hot in July. I started the morning off with a quick .50 mile run before I saw my acupuncturist. I wanted to get a light run in before I saw him, so I could tell him exactly were the pain was when I run. My appoint was at 6 a.m. I showed up at 5:54 a.m., ran a bit before I ran his door bell. Nothing happened. He didn’t buzz me in. I sent a text, nothing, I even called and left a voice mail message, and nothing. I wasn’t going to waste my time and wait because I had things to do. I left at 6:10a.m. to go running. He called me at 6:18a.m. By that time I was on the road to find a place to run.
Ugh, so frustrating. I’ll deal with him later.
Today I ran on a different part of the Mystic River Reservation. I stayed on the Medford side of the River. Since it was getting hot, I wanted to get at least a mile in. That was the goal. I went beyond my goal and ran 3.01 miles.
I ran through a treeline area by the water and I saw them. All the geese. All the geese who did not have on mask and were not social distancing. There were so many of them just hanging out, spreading god only knows what. I made sure to take note and not get too close.
I went along my merry slow running way until I finished my miles.
Running in the heat sucks. But I moved today, so there.
