Sweaty and Annoyed 10k a.m. humpday
COVID-19, the Rona Era
Tuesday was just a lot. Yesterday George Floyd was killed by a police officer who had his knee on George’s neck. Amy Cooper, a white woman called the police on Christian Cooper a black man who was bird watching in Central Park. Christian video taped Amy saying to him “ I’m taking a picture and calling the Police.” I’m going to tell them there’s an African-American man threatening my life.”Christian crime was telling Amy to put a lease on her dog. That was rule of the Park.
On my mind was Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor. On my mind was 62 degrees at 5:30 a.m.
This month is almost over but with June and summer months looming, I fear that there will be a continuous of violence on black and brown people. Ugh. I’m glad to think, breathe, and have the space to run. I’m glad I can sweat out my annoyance and replenish my mind to think.
As I ran, I started to sweat and sweat a lot. I reminded myself to run slower because I was not use to running in such warm weather, yet. I adjusted my pace but when I did I felt a hotness in my Hoffa Fat Pad Knee. What is that about? Grrr..
The goal of a 10k did not happen but 5.17 miles did. Yay me.
