Saturday neighborhood exploring
COVID-19 The Rona Era
Friday was a rain out day. All day long. It was raining too hard for me to go out. It was a good rest day. Today, Saturday I wanted to be out and about running. With focus on China and Italy and the Rona, I thought running through those neighborhoods to see and support them would be the next best thing than getting an airplane ticket( which I can’t anyway) to visit and support them.
Chinatown and the North End( Italian neighborhood) are not that far apart but yet so different. Early Saturday morning I had the streets to myself. The chill in the air didn’t stop me from hitting the pavement. I saw parts of Chinatown that I had never seen. I forgot that Chinatown starts the Greenway. I just followed the Greenway which took me to the North End.
When I followed the Greenway to the North end I was reminded of Palm Sunday( tomorrow ) and Easter the following Sunday. My spirit was happy to see the beauty of Easter and I was a bit sad because I missed my Church community and going to services.
In the total 5 mile running route, I saw more people walking their dogs than running. Everyone continues to be friendly, smiley, and talkative.
