Mondays Perservance

Mondays Perservance

COVID-19 Era ..aka The Rona

Last Monday of March and the first day the students are “ back at school.” Which means the first day of everything being converted online. For my regular Monday class I have Zoom hours, we’ll how everything works.

This morning, this quiet Monday morning run was about caution. I saw signs running about COVID-19, keeping distance, and checking on the city’s webpage for more information. Passing the Maverick T stop on a Monday, I saw the reduction of Monday’s hustle and bustle. The city’s seemed almost empty. I didn’t see my normal folks who are going to work at 5 something in the morning stare at me. Thou one guy did honk at me from his car. I’m not sure what that was about because I was on the other side of the road and not in his way.

I kept on running.

I felt brave enough to run by the spot that I took a hard fall several months ago. This is what has prevented me from running this particular route. I was going to run it, with caution but I was going to run it. I did and I’m still standing.

I kept running over and under bridges this morning. I kept going and I had to persevere. The motto and them of the day. I kept running for 5.34 miles this morning all before 7:10 a.m.

Doing my best to start the week strong
