Last run of " hot girl summer" 2019
Last day of official summer has to be a beach run. This last run of summer is like no other. Later on today I’m giving my first tedx talk about running, grief, and black women. The run this morning was so needed to calm my nerves and let out my energy. Even running this morning didn’t help.
I ran 6 miles but I found myself stopping for a dance break or walking a bit to get my nerves to chill out. Around mile 3 I got back in my running pattern. If I didn’t have to be on campus, I should have run 10 miles to work out the nerves. The run was good and helpful for the last day of hot girl summer.
Man, what a summer 2019 it has been. Running in Washington, Utah, no longer being department chair, working on my tedx talk, book proposal, presiding at a conference in New York, dating, and more.
