First Run in Alaska

My first run in ALASKA!!!! Something I thought I would never say. Not only is it my first run in Alaska but it is a 10k a.m. humpday run in Alaska. I just got in on Tuesday night. This morning, I just ran around. No plan, no agenda, I just wanted to run 6 miles and explore this city that I have been in for less than 12 hours. I found a cool trail( which I later found out will be the race route) and got a sense of the city. I am close to the train and fishing and nature paths. What socked me was the amount of homelessness that I saw in the city. The downtown seems depressed and small as I ran through it, so interesting. This is my morning before I go driving through the state.
