26 degree, Fall Beach Run
Clear blue sky is deceiving in 26 degree windy, cold ass weather. I wanted to get a long run in and meet my goal of running 20 miles for the week. I had to get the run in. At least, because it’s Saturday I can run in the light and not feel rushed because I had to go to work. I wanted to mix- up route and I thought running on the beach would be good. Don’t ask me why.
I drove to Revere Beach because I knew it would be 7 miles. This way I wouldn’t have to think or miscalculate my run mileage. My run started at 6:45a.m. There were some people walking their dog on the beach but otherwise it was quiet. I did see one freaky man with a Minnesota sweat shirt , hat, and shorts running past me. Really I had the whole area of beach to myself. After a mile, I got warm and the chill and ocean air kept me running at a steady and comfortable pace.
Despite the cold the beach was still a pretty and peaceful place to run.
I ended up running 7.30 miles for my goal of 20 miles for the week. :) #goalsetting
