Nebraska Running

I made it to my State #46 and the 37th state of the union, Nebraska. I wanted to get a pre half marathon run in this morning. I forgot that it gets lighter later in the morning and of course I left my headlight back in Boston. Light comes around 7:45a.m. here, which is way too late for me. I ran around 6a.m. here, still dark but I made sure to say around the city lights since this is unknown urban space to me.

I ran downtown and then I ran along the Missouri river and over it as I ran to the state of Iowa. Actually I ran in two states this morning. :).

I will be honest I felt a bit emotional and reflective. This is the last time I’ll see the Missouri River and run in this part of the midwest. Yankton, South Dakota was when I saw and ran along the Mighty Mo. I never thought I would be back in Iowa again, here I am, running in a different part of the state. Oh the memories of this journey.
