Last Summer a.m. Long Run
This is the last Sunday long summer a.m. run. On Saturday, it will be officially fall. I really need to be a long run in and get myself ready for this back to back half marathon in October. Not making any excuses but just to acknowledge the situation; I’m on my period, this is the second week of back to school crazy, and I can’t seem to stay up past 8:30pm. Just sad. Yesterday after an all morning President’s Union meeting, my plan to get work done and be productive failed. I think I went to bed around 7pm.
That is why today was a good morning. I got myself up by 5:30am to go running. I could have stayed asleep but I knew I had to get up because I didn’t run yesterday. I was up and I ran. I’m thank that it was cool and a nice morning to run.
I know it was a privilege for me to run this morning and leave my house and not worry about a gas leak and not having heat like the hundreds of people in the Merrimack Valley.
While I was running my 10 miles I thought about the 4 little girls that were murdered 55 years ago today and if anything has really changed in regards to racialized terror
Running thoughts on the last long run of summer. :)
