Philly Running

More Philly running and exploring. Today I ran towards Temple University, down Broad  Street. Something interesting happen this a.m. As I was running, there were police cars all down Broad Street blocking off access to the street. Not only was there police but barriers put up. I thought maybe there was a race going on. In Philly, blocks are long. It was like I had to whole street to myself. I saw someone a bike and some people walking but it was somewhat empty.

Then, to my delight I saw 4 Black Girl Run Philly women running. We smiled and  greeted each other and  kept on  running. Now I realized I should have asked for a picture  with them.  I asked  a police officer what was going on and he told me it was kids  fest. From 8-1 they block off the street for kids to play and do all kinds of fun games and activities. They can walk the "streets".

Super cool. Today I ran this street.
