10k or 5k for humpday run?
Rain, rain go away, why do you have to come out today? Raining this am. And it's the last humpday of the month. I woke up at 4:45am and it was pouring. Then I went back to sleep but it was an uneasy sleep. I woke up at 5, then 5:15am. I even went outside for a quick rain gauge. The rain was a little drizzy. I said, screw it, I'm running.
By the time I had on my running gear and walked out the house, then was no rain. While it was still dry, I ran. 61 degrees and felt like fall. Because of the rain, I could see how much the water had risen.
Fuel for Thought: I thought about Houston and how if that happened in East Boston, my house would be underwater. Need to see if I have floor insurance and if I'm covered.
Running 6 miles this morning was great, especially since I took tuesday off to rest. If it had rained while I was running then it would have been a 5k humpday. For the first time since summer, I had on long sleeves and long running pants. I hope this is not the end of running shorts weather. Oh well......The changing of the seasons are near.
