Lavender Sun
Tuesday am run was met with confusion and joy. It's 62 degrees before 5:30am and it feels like fall but its Summer. Everyday is something different. I planned onrunning 8 miles but I ended up running 9.25, it was just that cool and nice out.
When I ran through the Belle Isle Marsh, there was sea of lavender that popped up with the sun coming up; extra pep in my step.
"The Language of Color," by Dorothee L. Mella, doesn't talk about lavender, but does list purple (which is printed in the book as a lavender color, rather than what one would generally consider purple--meaning more red).
Anyway, according to the printed color (which she calls purple, but which is most definitely lavender):
"Purple or violet is the most intuitive of all colors. Like the amythest [it] is spiritual and thoughtful. . . intuition . . .sometimes shy and hiding like the violet, other times noble and regal as the ruler. . . high values . . . the gift of feeling. . . sensitive . . . dignified . . ."
