Not about Tommy but Nate and Rugby. Passion
I passed by #12 Tom Brady on my am run. I know New Englanders love their Tommy and think he's like a God :), but I saw an amazing Olympic story last night on #43 Nate Ebner. Besides being an Ohioan (my slight bias) and going that other Ohio school. Nate was originally a Rugby player. His dad played rugby and he grew up playing the sport. When he's father was shot and killed, football became his saving grace. It became his healing tool. He played football at OSU and is now playing with the New England Patriots. He's passion and drive was always with Rugby
When Rugby was brought back as an Olympic sport, he put all his energies on making his dream of playing Rugby in the Olympics come true. Today he plays at noon.
The only thing I know about Rugby is the ALL Blacks
The All Blacks are this crazy New England Rugby team with a scary ass "fight call". Besides them I don't know anything Rugby or American Rugby Sevens. Looking forward to watching and learning something new.
Nate's story is a prime example of when an opportunity presents itself, you have to take it, you should take it. This guy is playing in the NFL and its pretty good but yet his passion is with rugby.
For many passion can be a guide and driving force in your life.
I know what I will be doing at noon today
