Shadows of a FFG
Saturday morning late run. Late means 6:30am. :). I was feeling adventurous and ran on the beach this morning. Normally I'll run on the sidewalk/street by the beach but not on it.
a shift in running location gave me a different perspective of the beach. The sights, people sounds, smell of a beach that I run so often changed. I had to run by and over people laying on the beach, searching for gold, leisurely strolling on the beach, even smoking on the beach. Then the birds. They played in the water, some slept on the beach, other's knew they "owned" this beach and ignored me. Besides some bird noises and the beeping of the metal detecor it was fairly quiet on the beach.
To run on the hard packed sand was even a different body running experience. Even my shadow from the sun looked different. 5'1 me looked like I could be 7'1( which is normally I feel anyway :). Then as I was pulling out my phone for a picture, another perceptive of my shadow was taken. How do we see ourselves? Do we see the multi-layers and dynamics of who we are? Do we appreciate them? Both of these shadow images are both me, both shapely, both beautiful, both unique, tall, both an image of a fit. fierce .goddness
