10th Month = 10 miles

10th Month = 10 miles

Last Sunday run of the month. Celebrating the 10th month of the year = 10 mile run = 60 degrees out = beach run while its still nice = trick or treat because it was 37 degrees 2 days ago.

I think people were recovering from Halloween parties on Saturday because it was very quiet on my Sunday am run.

I didn't get a chance for a Saturday long run because I went to Fairfield University for the New England Workshop on Ethnicity and Race (NEWER). I left at 7am because it was a 3 hour drive, so no run.

While running this morning I was thinking about what it means to be a public sociologist and how do we work on transforming structures that continue to be oppressive, racist, sexist, and classist.

I thought about William Smith's article about Racial Battle Fatigue and why its important to continue to run and also to fight.

At this moment I was in aw ofthe sunraising andhow its anew day and a new day to start over and a new day to be recharged
