Eyes are Watching: Self, Society, and Impressisons
As we wind down the month of October the trick or treat madness still continues. On this am run, it felt like another summer morning even though we are moving closer to winter as fall is wrapping up.
As I ran in the morning moonlight, one of my neighbors left there Halloween lights on all night. As I passed by I felt as if I was being watched. LOL. You never know who is watching you or monitoring your actions. Even when the world is watchingyou may not even give a damn.
I was still trying to recover from the last of the presidential debates. Clearly for some impression management is not something to monitor or work on or even care about. You can insult someone and be sexist and call them a " nasty woman" or you can be racist and talk about those " bad- hombres" or you can just tell people that they are " wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong".
Then these eyes lead me to think about Zora Neale Hurston "Their eyes were watching God"and Janie Crawford coming into her own destiny and realization about herself and how others see her.
Once again, so much runs through my head on these am runs
