Saturday freeze
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
It’s Saturday and it’s cold AF. The wind is no joke this morning. I have on my mittens , hat, and layers. I was thinking of doing a long run 7 or 8 miles but this won’t happen today. I even slept in, got some extra rest, and thought it would be sunny and nice when I woke up. Well it was sunny and that’s about it.
I parked in Cambridge across from the Museum of Science. In my head I thought I could run over into Charlestown and around the Esplanade for my long run. After the wind and cold, my run was edited to running to USS Constitution and Spaulding clinic in Charlestown and back.
Even with the cold wind, people were out running, walking, and walking dogs. And everyone was layered up as well. I knew I couldn’t be out too long because I made plans to drive to western Massachusetts to see a regional ultimate Frisbee match. Busy morning.
The planned 5k that was going to do turned int a 4.78 mile run. It was an out and back. I saw some boats, crabs, and ran under the Zakim bridge. Not bad for less than 5 miles.
