Monday 5k miles
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
Fall is back. He went away last weekend because summer came to visit. Now, she is gone. From 76 degrees to 38 degrees in 24 hours. I’m not going to lie. It was a struggle this morning to get out of bed. I hit the snooze button 4 times. I wanted to get up a run a bit later this morning. I wanted to run in the light. I know in a month when I start marathon training, I’ll be running in darkness.
With the change in weather I knew I had to layer up. I even had on gloves the entire time for my 5k run. Tis the season.
The first mile I was just getting warmed up. Around the 1.50 mile mark, I started to feel my running groove. I started to feel good. I didn’t get tired and I had energy. The sun helped with the extra motivation, despite the chill in the air.
3.02 miles , 10:36 ave pace, 32:07mins. Not bad for a 5k. This is good to get a sense of my baseline.
It was a lovely moving. And I’m glad I got my butt out of bed.
