COVID-19, ‘The Rona Era”

Still in recovery for RBG passing and now Breonna Taylor’s killers got a Class D felony. No charges for killing a black woman at all. To add to the fun, the Board of Trustees over my University made it very clear they want to cut, slash, and burn departments and programs. All of this we Wednesday. Today was a “must run” day.

The exhausting, anger, and disbelief of yesterday had to be sweated out. This morning I ran along the Fens, near fenway, MFA, and Isabella Steward Garner museum.

By the MFA there was a power mural which highlighted the importance, value, and beauty of blackness and black power. As tired as I am, I have to persist and get into go trouble.

After running past the mural, I ran through the greenway and was reminded that it is fall. Leaves are changing colors, the air was crisp, and the sun was coming up. These are the moments I have to exhale , smile, and find joy in the day.

Just when I thought they were gone, I saw my stalker geese this morning at several different points on my run. I think they were just as piss as I was yesterday.

The early morning of Fall is something that Breonna Taylor won’t see. I ran 5.11 this morning because I can still see and experience fall. I know that my Black Life Matters period.
