5 year Running Anniversary!!

The Harpoon 5- miler is my FIRST RACE EVER!!!!! I remember being so nervous, unsure and scared. 5 years ago today I started to grieve my mother 2 years after her passing. I started to cry and feel and heal.5 years ago today my spirit started to come alive and be in life.5 years ago today was my rebirth to be a better, stronger, and thoughtful person happen . 5 years ago today I had no clue on running journey that 5 miles would take me. (www.runisee50.com) . 5 years ago many of you started on this journey with me..I love and thank you for it.Today I celebrate how far I've come and will continue to go. Always doing it for my mamma!

Today before the race was sold out, I volunteered. I had to be here in one way or another. It was great to volunteer, get free shoes, and I saw Terry Kelley.

What I noticed about this race , was that it was a race for runners. Everyone's body and shaped looked the same. It was not diverse in many aspects. Yes, there were some people who didn't fit the runner or body of a runner look. Most were all core and done in a very short amount of time.

Wow, that a difference 5 years makes
