7 mile Saturday
Friday I stayed on campus until 7 putting out academic and campus fires. By the time I left I was done. Tired, no energy, full of emotions from the long battle and I had cramps that would make me want to slap someone.
We can hungry to all of that as well. Hungry, emotional, and drained. That equals pizza , bottle of red wine, and midol. I own it, don't judge.
This morning I heard the rain still and I still felt crampy. I knew if I didn't run and let out all of the bs and crazy of Friday, it would not be a good saturday. To mix things up and run in the light, I left a little later to run and decided to run across the Charles River. Surely that will be 10 miles. That was my goal a 10 mile long run saturday.
The Charles River was busy. Runners, bikers, and rowers, all out. I've never seen so many groups of......There was a group of bikers( cyclist). One of the leaders, and African-American man said Hi to me as he was leading his pack. Then there was a big pack of young white men running.
I'm going to assume that Harvard and MIT and all the other universities are back in session, that is the result of folks being back in school.
The river was full of rowers this morning too.
Very active and busy running route. I did see two black men running this morning, no black women.
After I made my loop across the Charles and come back, I have over 7 miles. Then the cramps kicked in. Maybe I'll do 10 tomorrow. I got my 7 miles on and was able to let some of the stress out... Running is my therapy
