...and the first fall
This morning there was a light snow fall. It was just right and just beautiful. It wasn't super cold out..perfect. As I was running I had time to take in the urban art that was in front of me at the navy yard andrun openly in the street.
On my path, I decided on run through Bremnan Park. I thought I was running on in the pavement in the parkbecause it was covered in snow....and then...BOOM. I fell. The solid snow was a thin layer of ice that covered the water that I feel in. That shocked the shit out of me. My knee went down in the water, my arms had spreadout, I was wet all over. But I got up. There were two people walkingon the bridge above me, who stopped when I feel in the water.
As I got up, I was trying to get to solid ground because I saw all the pavement was covered by a thin piece of ice. AsI went to the side of the greenway to escape the iceandwater, I realized that my kneeand arm hurt a bit. When the people saw that I was up and moving, they kept on walking.
I had to cut my run short. My gloves, shoes, and body was just wet. I am thankful that noting was broken. I can always let me shoes air out. I hadmy Road ID on me, in case I needed assistance if it got really bad.
