10 mile pavement hitting not boating
It has been a while since I ran 10 miles in my neighborhood. I planned on running 10 miles on Saturday but I had a 7:30am union delegation meeting. Since it was Saturday I wanted to sleep in a bit instead of waking up extra early. Sunday was the long running day. Sunday was the day that I ran in my new running shoes. I clearly had over 300 miles in my old ones and it beyond time for new ones.
I had a bit of P&J and water before I ran, which I normally don't do. I headed out in the dampness of the morning. There was some light rain and I hoped there would be no hard downpours while I ran.
I know it has to be the nutrition but my time is slow and I felt a bit heavier. Probably because I am heavier. Scale told me 148. The doctor's office would say 150. I have to own up to the birthday celebrations and the extra weigh down. My pace was 9.41 for 10.2 miles. I know I can do much better. I need to focus and make the effort TO do better.
