Run to Remember: Best Cheer Squad Ever

Run to Remember: Best Cheer Squad Ever

Today is the 13th Run to Remember half marathon and 5 mile race. Three years ago this was my first half EVER. This was my 40th birthday gift to myself. I remember my time 2:10:56. Now 30 half and a marathon later. LMAO.

Asthe Black Girl Run Ambassador for Boston, we had several women running their first half and others running the 5 mile race, and other women who hadn't run in a while. It was important to cheer them on because I remember my first time and all the support I had from my friends.

Plus, as I am on this 50 state journey, I'm starting to see black women who I have run with in other states. Today, I saw Cozette and Marky. Both of whom I met last year in Delaware. Marky, I recently saw last Month in State #26 and today I saw Cozette. Boston makes her state #44 and Marky is in the teens I believe. To be there to support them was just awesome.

Didn't run today but I was a running Cheerleader!!
