5k Turkey Trot with Emoji Girl Gang

I am not a fan of dressing up for running races. I appreciate and love looking at other people in their unique and fun costumes and outfits. I've NEVER " costume up" for a race until today. The other BGR ambassador-Boston, had an idea of creating an emoji shirt. You could buy them on line but she was willing to make them for everyone who wanted one. Score!! If she can make it, I will pay for supplies.

Today at the 5k, we all had these amazing cute emoji shirts. I hate to admit it, I was super stoked! Plus it was so wonderful to see all my girl gang( at least some of them) in one place.

The Franklin Park 5k has grown for 500 people to now in it's 5 year over 3,000 people. Unfortunately, the down side is that walkers, kids, dogs, babies in strollers partake in this race and the sidewalk/ path gets narrow. Plus we all run at once. There is no corral or separation of the different kinds of runners/walkers.

I had a good pace for a while but was stopped and blocked by some of the walkers and strollers ahead of me. I had to remind myself that this was a FUN race. The sun was out, it wasn't freezing and it was a great way to start off Thanksgiving day
